The Board of Winco Mfg., LLC in light of the acquisition of TransMotion Medical, strong growth of the combined companies, and leadership succession planning, has moved to strengthen their management structure by separating the President and CEO roles. James Ankoviak will remain as CEO and in the redefined position be tasked to focus on strategic growth initiatives for the combined companies. Jim will remain an active shareholder and Board Member. Tom Lorick, formerly the Director of Marketing has been promoted to the position of President. Tom will be responsible for the day to day management of the combined companies. Both Jim and Tom will report directly to the Board.
“We have been pleased by the performance of Winco over the last year and are focused on how to best leverage our operations and management team to be positioned to continue this growth trajectory. This is a particularly critical move that is designed to maximize the benefits of the integration of TransMotion Medical which we purchased last June.” Stated Bill Witzofsky, Chairman of the Board. Bill added that “Separation of the positions is a logical step as we begin succession planning. The changes will allow both Jim and Tom to concentrate their efforts in more defined roles where they can have the best impact on the business”.
Jim has been with Winco for 13 years, most recently serving as President and CEO and has been instrumental in growing Winco into a leader in the clinical recliner market. Jim joined Winco from Invacare where he worked in various management roles including General Manager and Director of Operations. Jim began his career with General Dynamics where he worked in Quality supporting the manufacture of the M1 Abrams battle tank. Jim has over 35 years of experience in leadership roles in manufacturing
Tom has been with Winco for 5 years, as part of the leadership team most recently serving as Director of Marketing. Tom’s experience prior to Winco includes Compumedics USA, where he served as Vice President of Marketing, Nicolet Biomedical/VIASYS Healthcare, leaving as Director of Marketing and Carolina Medical Electronics as Marketing Manager. Tom provides over 24 years of Medical Marketing and Management experience working with all phases of engineering, customer service, sales and operations in product and market development.
